J. Martin Pillaca is the leader of CINCIA's GIS and Drone team and is a member of CINCIA's Remote Sensing and Artificial Intelligence research group and the CINCIA-Stanford University PRO-Agua project team.   Martin has extensive experience in landscape analysis, and the identification and characterization of the impacts of alluvial gold mining in the Amazon through the use of drones, satellite images, and synthetic aperture radar. He holds a bachelor's degree in Forest and Environmental Engineering from the Universidad Nacional Amazonica de Madre de Dios, and a Master's degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from the Universidad Nacional San Antonio Abad del Cusco. Martin is also a professional drone pilot accredited by the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics.
