Aquatic Biodiversity Program Technician
Miguel Macedo is a member of CINCIA's Aquatic Biodiversity team. Miguel is experienced in evaluating water quality in the Amazonian rivers and conducting aquatic ecological community monitoring. He is currently developing new rapid biological monitoring techniques for assessing biodiversity in artificial lakes created by artisanal gold mining and is a founding member of the joint UNAMAD/CINCIA Scientific Ichthyology Collection. Miguel holds a Bachelor's degree in Ecotourism from the National Amazonian University of Madre de Dios (UNAMAD). Before coming to CINCIA in 2017, he worked in the USAID HED-UNAMAD Project, and the McArthur Foundation-ACCA Project.
